John Digby

John Digby is co-publisher of New Feral Press. He is a British-born collagist specializing in black and white. he has exhibited widely in England, the US, France, Japan and Korea. His work is in numerous private collections and museums.  Co-author (with his wife) of Food for Thought and Inspired by Drink (William Morrow, 1987, 1988) and The Collage Handbook (Thames and Hudson, 1985), he is particularly acknowledged for his “archival” approach to collage materials and techniques. A book of collages, Miss Liberty?, was published by Thames andHudson (1986). He is the author of three books of poetry for Anvil Press Poetry: The Structure of Bifocal Distance(1974), Sailing Away from Night (1978) and To Amuse a Shrinking Sun (1985). Incantations was published by The Stone House Press (1987).

He has illustrated for many magazines and book publishers. For The Feral Press he has illustrated several of his own texts as well as the work of other press authors. His most recent interpretations of text make use of photography.
